My approach as a wedding photographer.
My approach as a wedding photographer.
On this page, I'd love to share more about my approach as a wedding photographer. Below, you'll find the 8 steps that guide you through the process of hiring me as your wedding photographer: from our first contact to the delivery of your beautiful wedding photos.

Before the wedding.
All you need to know about my approach before your wedding day.
1. Send me a message.
After viewing my website, are you excited about my work and do you think I could be the perfect wedding photographer for you? That's wonderful, thank you for your interest!

Please fill out the contact form on my website, where you can indicate when and where you're getting married. I will check if I am available for your wedding day.

Tip: fill out the form as soon as possible to maximize your chances of availability on your date.
2. Meeting in a café in Utrecht or via Teams.
I'm available, great! Next, I think it's important to get to know you better. A good connection is essential, as only when you feel comfortable can the most beautiful and natural photos be captured. I believe the best moments are those where you're relaxed and truly yourselves. Therefore, I'd love to meet you in a café on a Sunday morning in Utrecht (or another day that works for you). If that's not possible, we can meet via Teams, but my preference is for a personal conversation! During this meeting, I'll tell you more about my approach and you can ask all your questions. I'm also curious about your love story: how did you meet each other...? I always love to hear it.

Tip: the initial meeting is completely free of obligation. If you're still not sure and are considering other photographers, no problem! It's important to make the right choice. And like I said, a coffee on Sunday is no trouble for me.
3. Custom Quote
Once you know after our meeting that I'm the right photographer for you, I will create a custom quote. It will clearly outline everything: the number of photos, the number of hours present at your wedding, what's included, etc. This way, there are no surprises. Once you sign the quote and make the deposit of EUR 500,-, your wedding date is officially reserved!
4. Questionnaire.
Now that the date is set, we often don't have much contact for several months, as you'll probably be busy with all the other preparations! The 'Finding a photographer' can at least be checked off! But feel free to reach out if there's anything you want to share or ask. I'm always available.

A few weeks before the wedding, I'll contact you to go over a questionnaire. This helps me prepare thoroughly. The questions will be both practical and personal, so I don't miss any important details. I'll ask things like: What time should I be at the first location? Can I easily park my car? What's the schedule for the day? Do you want group photo, and if so, which combinations? Are there any special things I need to be aware of?

The goal is to capture your wedding as smoothly as possible so that I don't need to ask unnecessary questions on your wedding day.

During your wedding.
How do I approach photographing your wedding? What can you expect when I'm your wedding photographer?
5. Your wedding day.
On your wedding day, I'll first arrive at the first location. I'll begin by capturing the preparations and the first moments of the day.

I believe in blending in with your guests to capture the most spontaneous and natural moments. I often hear "Are you a family member of the couple?" because I move freely among your loved ones, play with the kids, and share laughs with the grandparents. This helps me capture the true essence and warmth of your wedding day.

If you've chosen Package Gold (present the whole day), I'll stay for about half an hour to an hour after the first dance to capture the final moments of the evening. After that, I'll gather my things, say goodbye and head home.
