What is your photography style?I specialize in candid photography, focusing on natural, unposed moments that tell a story. I aim to capture emotions and connections as they unfold, rather than creating staged, traditional shots. My style is documentary-driven with a fine art touch, creating timeless memories for my clients.
-
What sets you apart from other (wedding) photographers?I would describe my style as a blend of documentary photography with a touch of fine art. My roots are in analog portrait and street photography, which has influenced how I approach my work today. While I now primarily shoot digitally, my experience with film has taught me the importance of being intentional with each shot. This has helped me to focus on capturing those intimate, fleeting moments and to anticipate the perfect shot. Having a background in street photography, I’ve developed the skill of blending into the background, allowing me to photograph naturally and spontaneously. This is key in wedding photography, where my goal is to capture the genuine, unposed moments that you may miss during the day. I want you to be able to fully experience your wedding, knowing that I’m there to document those precious memories for you to relive.

How do you approach wedding photography? For weddings, I focus on capturing real, unfiltered moments. I make it a point to blend into the family and the flow of the day. Often, guests will ask if I’m a close friend of the couple because I seem to fit in so effortlessly. I strive to be present and engaged, but never in a way that distracts from the moment. My goal is to capture the laughter, the tears, and everything in between—those special, spontaneous moments you may miss in the excitement, but will cherish forever when you look back at the photos.
-
Do you pose people for portraits?I prefer to keep portraits natural and candid, allowing you to feel at ease in front of the camera. While I may offer gentle guidance to help with composition and lighting, I avoid rigid posing, letting the session flow and capturing authentic expressions and emotions.
-
How do you approach newborn and maternity photography? For newborn and maternity sessions, my goal is to document these precious moments as they unfold. I capture the tenderness, the small details, and the quiet moments, all while making sure you're comfortable and relaxed. I use a soft, unobtrusive style.
-
What can I expect during a photo session with you?You can expect a relaxed, comfortable experience. I’ll guide you when needed, but I’m also focused on letting things unfold naturally, so the photos reflect who you truly are. I’ll take time to make sure you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, so you can enjoy the session and have fun!
-
How far in advance should I book my session or wedding shoot? It’s always best to book as early as possible to ensure availability, especially for weddings, which can fill up months in advance. For other sessions, I recommend booking at least a few weeks ahead to give me ample time to plan.
-
How many images will I receive after my session?I focus on quality over quantity, so you’ll receive a carefully curated selection of images that truly tell the story of your day or session. For weddings, this typically means around 300-500 images, depending on the length of the event. For other sessions, it can range from 30 to 100 images, depending on the shoot.
-
Can I print my photos or get them on digital files?Absolutely! After your session/wedding, you’ll receive access to a high-resolution gallery where you can download and print your images.

Are you Dutch?Yes, I am Dutch! I am also available in French, English, Italian, and German, so feel free to reach out in whichever language you prefer.
