Workshops
Discover the art of observation, storytelling, and capturing authentic moments in hands-on street photography workshops.
Learn the art of observation
As I often mention in my classes, Henri Cartier-Bresson has been my greatest inspiration to start photography. I began with street photography, and that's where y heart still lies. I currently offer three different photography classes. Each course includes two sessions:
1. Theory session: a 90-minute class where you'll learn the key principles of photography. This session takes place at Cafca in Utrecht.
2. Hands-On Workshop in town: On a second day, we meet again in Utrecht to bring the theory to life. I'll guide you through practical exercises, provide a handout, and support your as you explore and develop your skills.

How are your classes built?
Each class consists of two parts. On the first day, you'll get the theory of 90 minutes at Cafca, Utrecht. You'll sit comfortably in a couch and watch a powerpoint where I teach the theory. Then in the weekend (usually on a sunday morning) we will walk in the streets of Utrecht to put the theory into practice!
What is included in the class?
In each classes is included:
- Theory: 90 minutes of theory.
- Hands-on workshops in town: 90 minutes walking around together in
- Cake and coffee/tea at the end of our session at Cafca!
How small are the groups?
The groups are around 6-10 people: perfect size so I am able to give you individual feedback if needed.
What shall I bring on the theory day?
On the theory day, you don't have to bring your camera as you'll only be listening! You can bring a notepad and a pen if you want to take notes.
What shall I bring on the workshop day?
On the workshop day, you'll bring your camera, extra batteries, perhaps a blocnote to take notes.
What if I can't make it anymore?
If you cancel within 72 hours, we will refund you. If you cancel within 72 hours, we may be able to reschedule you to another workshop. Just get in touch with me and I'll do my best to help.
Do I need a specific camera or lens?
No. Bring anything you want, a compact camera, professional one, instax. Anything. The most important thing you're going to learn is the art of observation! The camera in the end is merely the vehicle.
